On one of the hottest days in NYC record (37°c) this place was an oasis of frozen  margaritas, cold beer and good pizzas. A lot bigger than you'd first expect with gardens and courtyards as well internal rooms. Good tacos.

Ferry between Manhattan and Brooklyn, it costs $2.75, so as cheap as the underground but with much better version

Aussie owned brunch hot spot. Amazing food - your smashed 🥑  on sourdough with all the usual stuff - plus bloody Mary's to see away and Sunday hangover blues. Eat at the bar, the dining room or if it's nice sit outside on this quiet cross street and watch NY life slide on by

Gem's Wine is a restaurant specialising in seasonal direct from farm dishes, on a weekend they teamup with #ShysBurgers to bring hmthe same smhugh food standards to a more relaxed street setting. And the wine is good. Always good.

Designed by Thomas Heatherwick, thus man made park inbthe Hudson River boasts over 350 flowers, shrubs and plants and is a haven for New Yorkers. Situated just across the road from the Meat Packing district. Music events are held here.

Iconic 1950s contemporary art gallery. A central gallery that spirals down from the 6th floor, making in a gentle, easy access, experience. Admission $25/adult.

Free WiFi but over priced coffee

An unassuming little dumpling place that not only does great veggie dumpings but consistently wins awards for the best local hotspot around. Family run and friendly, with food made freshly for you. All round good eats.

A well hidden green rooftop oasis in the city. From street level there is very little to hint at this secret rooftop spot, but take the time to explore it and you'll find a sun drenched bar with super friendly staff, great cocktails and fantastic pizzas.
